You manage Color Libraries under the Resources / Color Controls / Color Libraries tab.

You can Import Color Libraries in .dat format, which is the same format supported by Kodak PRINERGY Connect and PRINERGY Evo. Additional color libraries are available for download from Kodak Partner Place.

You can also hit the Add button to create a new library, with colors that you define yourself

Note that all colors in PRINERGY Access are defined in L*a*b* color space. L*a*b* definitions provide the most accurate color match when converting spot colors to a specific print condition.


Use Search to find a specific color in the library. Library Name is the name that will be visible when adding color libraries to Workflow Pipelines.

Defining Colorant Properties

L*a*b* slidersAllow you to adjust lightness (L) and color on the a* and b* axis.
Neutral DensityValue used for luminance-based trapping of colors
Overprint and Knockout Handling*

Used to maintain or override overprint and knockout settings.

  • Honor PDF settings  Use OP or KO settings from design file.
  • Force overprint
  • Output dependent  For colors set to "Do not trap" will OP as a spot but will KO if converted to process. 
Trapping*
  • Trap by Neutral Density  For normal trapping, where lighter colors trap into darker colors
  • Trap using Black Trap settings  This is controlled by the Set Black to Overprint when Black is (00)% or higher in Workflow Pipelines
  • Trap by Print Sequence  Used for trapping metallics or other opaque colors
  • Do not trap  Used by structural colors like Dielines, will be ignored by the Trap engine

*You can display a drop-down menu and position the mouse pointer over each item to view a reminder tool tip for each item.
