To add a Role, follow these steps:



When your PRINERGY Portal account is provisioned, Kodak will designate one contact in your organization as an Administrator.
That User of record will have the ability to create additional Users and assign user rights (Roles).
User rights are controlled by assigning permissions to
Roles and assigning those Roles to Users.

There are two types of Roles: Portal Roles and Access Roles

Portal Roles define Uesr capabilities for general administration of PRINERGY Portal,  access to Resource definitions for Ink and Plate Analytics and access for PRINERGY Access workflow (if licensed), and access to PRINERGY Analytics and Services.

Access Roles define User Capabilities for File Management, Smart Review, Approval Workflow, Job viewing and editing and the ability to download, within the PRINERGY Access workflow service.


To Create a Role

Select the Add button located on the right side of the user interface.

Fill out the mandatory information for the name of the role:

Role Name*  (Provide a short descriptive Role Name)

* Is required to be completed before saving.

There are two (2) states for each parameter: View or Edit

  • View - the Role setting allows the assigned User read-only access to the selected items.
  • Edit - the Role setting allows the assigned User read-and-write access to the selected items.

By making the appropriate changes between the View or Edit conditions, different Roles can provide different Users the necessary access controls to meet their job requirements.

Once you have made all the appropriate adjustments, select the Save button

Or select the Cancel button to leave the page


Portal Roles

View – Allows users to View User(s) account settings, Preferences and Customers

Edit – Allows users to Edit User(s) account settings, Preferences and Customers

Services

Most checkboxes enable View permissions for licensed PRINERGY Analytics Services Dashboards.

Edit checkboxes for Ink & Plate Analytics and Managed Services enable the ability to use those Services in production.

The number displayed within the shield icon beside each Service  (as shown, zero) indicates the number of licenses available for each Service.
