Adding materials to the ShopMap

You can add a new material (substrate, plate, or film) size to ShopMap. You can enter a meaningful name for the material, or let the name be generated automatically, based on the dimensions of the material.

1. If the ShopMap is not currently shown, click the ShopMap tab.
2. Click the appropriate material tab (Substrate, Plate, or Film).
3. Click New.
4. Type a name to customize the name of the material, or leave the Name field blank.
   Note: If you don't enter a name, the size of the material will be used as its name.
5. In the Units field, select the units to use to define the material size.
6. In the Height and Width boxes, type the dimensions of the material.
7. Perform the following actions as appropriate:
   • When adding a substrate, for the Grain attribute, select one of the options: Long, Short, or None.
   • When adding a plate, in the Base list, select the plate material or process.
8. Click Create.
