Note: There was no update to the schema for version 11.0, so there are no new parameters. Sites upgrading from 8.0.x should perform this procedure to acquire the changes that were made in version 8.2.

- In Rule Set Manager, expand Rule Sets > find and double-click PLA System Level Rule.
- Select Open Copy.
- Double-click the Read XML action.
- Check that the Schema Name Value is designating the updated schema.
- Double-click the Create Layout action.
- Expand each of the parameter values and ensure that each individual item's parameter has an associated value.
Note: You must update the XML data for any field that is missing values before you can use the new feature. If you are using the PLA System Level Rule-Versatile Layout Home, it includes the Copy Job Ticket function. Ensure that the items for the Create Layout action are updated for both the Copy Job and New Job paths of this rule. Click any parameter field that is missing a value, and click the Edit Values button that appears on the right. For each parameter, select Event Properties. Navigate to XML Data (TargetXML) and then to the associated main parameter, and select the feature's value. Click OK to save the parameter value. Use the table below for reference.

Once you have entered all the values, click OK to close the Rules Parameters Editor - Create Layout Action window.
- Select File > Close & Hot Swap.
- Accept the default Rule Set Name, and click Save.
- In the Hot Swap Rule Set dialog box, make sure that Rename Rule Sets is selected, and click OK.
This overwrites your existing active system-level rule set.
Now that you have updated the Create Layout action, open the PLA Client and edit your layout ticket to add the parameters that you want to use when you create layouts.
