In the Pandora 4.0 and later software, double-sided layouts are available. See Creating a two-sided layout for more details.

In the Pandora 3.2 or earlier software, you mirrored dies to create a double-sided layout. This involved saving a copy of the job with a different name, and then flipping the die horizontally and vertically in the copy to create the back side of the layout. Together, the two jobs created a double-sided layout.

The following information describes how mirroring affects an existing layout.

Job element

Condition in mirrored die

Locked die

Retains locked status of the original

Grouped die

Retains grouped status of the original

Rotated die

Retains rotated status of the original

  • Geometry unchanged

Bound marks

Die station numbering

Numbers mirror so that they back up correctly with the numbers on the front

This procedure is for Pandora 3.2 and earlier.

  1. Create a job with the die for the front side, and save the job.
  2. Save the job again with a different name. For example, add Side 2 to the name of the original job.
  3. Delete the artwork.
  4. In the Side 2 job, click the job properties > Contents tab.
  5. On the Contents tab, select the die.
  6. Under Attributes, select Mirror Vertically or Mirror Horizontally.
