The layout view is a visual representation of the job. You drag materials and equipment to the layout from the ShopMap palette, and you drag artwork, dies, and marks to the layout from job properties and the Marks palette.
The layout background is a pasteboard that you use to lay out your job.
If the default pasteboard size is too small for a job, the pasteboard automatically expands to accommodate the job, up to a maximum size of 3.66 x 3.66 meters (200 x 200 in.).
