- Confirm that Snap Distance (pixels) has been defined in Preferences > General > Measurements.
The default setting is 3 pixels. It should be increased to a higher value to use this feature. The maximum setting is 10. Experiment to find the best setting for your purpose. - Position the first artwork on the substrate. If multiples are required, perform the step-and-repeat.
- Place the second artwork on the substrate. If multiples of it are required, perform the step-and-repeat.
- Drag the second artwork or step-and-repeat to the edge of the first artwork and/or step-and-repeat.
If you need the top to align, drag it to the top. If you need the bottom to align, drag it to the bottom, and so on.
When you are in close proximity to the first object, a snap guideline appears either vertically or horizontally to show you that they are in proper alignment.
The artwork and/or step-and-repeats are now aligned.
