For NEC UHD type monitors, the video signal might not be set properly in the factory. Therefore, the Mac might treat the display as a TV. When this is the case, the calibration will fail and an error message indicating that the monitor is not allowing the white point to be set appears.
To solve this issue:
- Check the video level setting on the display and set to expand if necessary.
- Verify that the DV Mode is standard and the color mode is Programmable.
