You can emulate some substrate effects that are seen on offset and flexographic presses.
For offset press sheets, you can reproduce on proof the press mottle and paper grain seen on some press sheets of certain paper types. For flexographic presses, you can emulate printing on cardboard. This feature is available when you edit media configuration files.
Several default Emulation settings are available in the Edit Media Configuration dialog box—for example, Paper Type 3 and Cardboard B Flute.
Note:
When you change the settings for a substrate effect, you change how the media configuration reproduces color. For the best color control, create a custom ICC profile for the custom media configuration.
