Configure hot folders and virtual printers to add white flood to input files that lack content for white flood.

Requirements:

  • A Matchprint Inkjet proofer with white ink, such as an Epson Stylus Pro WT7900 printer
  • A media configuration with white ink enabled
  • A proofer profile for the media configuration
  • A simulation DeviceLink or a pair of ICC profiles
  • A color library that contains a name and recipe for all objects in the input files that you want to print with white ink, including spot colors. White flood must be defined in a color library.
  • Input files that lack content for white flood

A special hot folder setup can add white flood to a proof made from input files that lack content for white flood. A recipe from a color library is used to define the color of white flood. Because no content for white flood exists in the input files, the name of the color in the library does not need to match any names in the input files. The print mode in the media configuration controls whether white flood prints first or last.
