Proofer Finder is the first window that appears when you start the proofer client software. Proofer Finder lists all the proofer controllers and proofers that are accessible in your network. From here, you can:
- Monitor the status of multiple proofers
- Open Proofer Viewer for a particular proofer. The Proofer Viewer window provides information about a particular proofer. For example, it displays the status of the Processor queue, the Proofer queue, calibrations, events, and so on. From Proofer Viewer, you can also create layouts, hot folders, virtual printers, spot color libraries, and so on.
- Open Proofer Administrator for a particular proofer or proofer controller. The Proofer Administrator window lets you upgrade, license, and back up the software. It also lets you add proofers and manage resources for the proofers, such as ICC profiles and color bars.
- Open Controller Viewer for a particular proofer controller. The Controller Viewer window lets you view the queues of all proofers connected to Proofer Controller.
- Create an error report
Proofer Finder windows
The Proofer Finder window contains four columns:
Controller | Lists all the Proofer Controllers that Proofer Finder detects on your network, and the status of each. If you see a status icon, position the mouse over it for information about what it means. |
Proofer | Lists all enabled proofers connected to a Proofer Controller, and the status of each. Although it’s possible to have more than one proofer enabled on a Proofer Controller, every proofer has a separate entry in the Proofer Finder display area. |
Proofer Queue | In Proofer Finder, the Proofer Queue column displays the number of elements that are in the Proofer queue in Proofer Viewer. |
Processor Queue | In Proofer Finder, the Processor Queue column displays the number of elements that are in the Processor queue in Proofer Viewer. |
