Proof names generally consist of the name of the original input file plus a page number.
After the proofer assigns a proof name to a proof, the name never changes even if other proofs with the same name are created.
The proof name appears differently when viewed from the Controller Viewer or the Proofer Viewer. In the Controller Viewer, because you can always see each proof's file and page information, the proof name is the name of the proofer it is assigned to.
In the Proofer Viewer, because you are viewing a specific proofer, the proof name is the file name and page number. For example, if you submit a three-page proof named Photo.pdf, the proofs are named Photo.pdf.1A, Photo.pdf.2A, and Photo.pdf.3A.
