Preserving the black channel of the input file

If you want to preserve the black color recipe of the input file during the color transformation, select the Preserve Black Channel option in the Input File Color Space Advanced dialog box. If you want the system to transform the black color recipe to CMYK values, clear this option.

1. Create or edit a hot folder or virtual printer.
2. In the Process Settings dialog box (the second dialog box that appears when creating a hot folder), click the ICC Settings
3. In the Input File Color Space area, click Advanced.
4. In either the CMYK Contone Images or CMYK Vector Graphics area, select Preserve Black Channel.

Note: This option is available only when ICC Handling is set to ICC Profiles.

1. Click OK.
2. Continue with the hot folder or virtual printer configuration.
