An Open Connectivity Kit license provides RIP and color management features for various input files and workflow requirements.

Note: Hot folders for screened 1-bit TIFF input do not require an Open Connectivity Kit license.

Instead of—or in addition to—using a direct-connect Prinergy workflow system for file input, an Open Connectivity Kid license enables you to create hot folders for receiving input files from various sources.

Note: LEN files from EskoArtworks Nexus and FlexRIP systems must be placed in an input_Len subfolder within a hot folder.

Each hot folder can be configured with unique instructions for receiving, processing, and submitting files to the proofer.

Create as many hot folders as needed. However, performance is affected by the number of hot folders that the system needs to continuously check for new input.

Tip: For system efficiency, delete any hot folder that you do not expect to use again, or export it to a backup location on the network before disabling and deleting it in Proofer Viewer. Backed-up hot folders can be restored when necessary.
