Enabled resources appear for selection in Kodak Proofing Software, and disabled resources do not appear.

Having the ability to enable and disable resources helps you manage which resources appear in the lists. You can keep the lists short and hide resources you no longer want used.
Note: If you are using direct connectivity, disabled media configuration files will not appear in the applicable workflow software—only enabled media configuration files are available. However, disabled layouts, ICC profiles, and ICC DeviceLink profiles will still appear in the workflow software until manually disabled or removed in that software—for more information, see the documentation for that software.

You can enable and disable the following resources:

  • Media types
  • Media configuration files
  • ICC profiles and DeviceLink profiles
  • Color bars
  • Layouts

The following table summarizes where you enable and disable the various resource types.
