  1. In Proofer Administrator, click the Controller icon, and click the Events
  2. Click Notifications.
  3. Click Mail Server.
  4. In the Network Name/Address box, enter your outgoing SMTP mail server.

If your SMTP server uses a different port from the standard port 25, use the following format to enter the SMTP mail server: mailserver:<portnumber>, where <portnumber> is the port used. Kodak Proofing Software also does not support SMTP mail servers that use the Secure Socket Layer (SSL) or Transport Layer Security (TLS) protocols.

  1. In the From Address box, enter the email address that you want to appear in the From subject line in the email notification.
  2. In the User Name box, enter the user name you use to log on to your mail server.

This box is optional if you plan to send email notifications (includes test email notifications) to email addresses within your company's network domain.

  1. In the User Password box, enter the password you use to log on to your mail server.

  1. In the Test E-Mail Address box, enter the email address used to receive test email notifications.
  2. Click Test, and the Confirm Mail Server Configuration dialog box opens.
  3. Go to your email inbox to check if you received the test email notification.
  4. In the Confirm Mail Server Configuration dialog box, click Yes if you received the test email notification, or click No if you did not receive it.
  5. Click OK.
  6. Click OK to save all changes in the Notification Manager
