If a sheet has room for more proofs, that sheet is considered open. An open sheet remains in the Proofer queue until it is closed. A sheet closes and begins to move up the Proofer queue to be proofed when one of the following occurs:

  • When no more proofs can fit on the sheet according to the sheet’s layout
  • When the sheet reaches the Close sheet after percentage full (%) setting in the Layout Editor
  • When the sheet exceeds the Close sheet after time expires setting in the Layout Editor
  • You manually close the sheet
  • You edit and save changes to the sheet using the Sheet Editor

This procedure describes how to close a sheet manually.
Note: You cannot reopen a sheet once it is closed. You can, however, copy proofs to a closed sheet using the Sheet Editor.

  1. In the Proofer Viewer, click the Queues  button.
  2. In the Queues window, highlight the sheet in the Proofer queue.
  3. Click Close Sheet.

The processor will not longer automatically add proofs to that sheet, and the sheet starts working its way up the Proofer queue to be proofed.
