You can configure layouts with captions to print with each proof or sheet.
Note: If you are using the Certified Process for Color Confirmation, proofs print with captions. Otherwise, captions are optional.
Captions are 0.5 inches (1.27 cm) high. If you choose to place the caption automatically, the caption is placed below the proof if there is space, or to the right of the proof and rotated 90 degrees.
Alternatively, you can configure the layout to place it on the top, bottom, left, or right side of the proof.
If the caption is too long to print on one line, the caption wraps to the height/width of the area available in the layout. Captions cannot be longer than three lines of text.
Proofs printed using the Certified Process always have a caption. Reference targets have their own captions that are automatically included.
Use the Layout Editor to specify whether to include a caption and what details to include in the caption.
