  1. In Proofer Viewer, from the Configure menu, select Color Database Editor.
  2. Provide basic information about the new library:
    1. In the Color Database Editor, in the Color Libraries list, select User Libraries.
    2. From the Configure menu, select Add User Library.
    3. In the New Color Library dialog box, in the Library name box, type a name for your color library.
    4. Select CMYK or L*a*b*, and click OK.
  3. Add a color to the user library:
    1. In the User Libraries list, select the library.
    2. In the Colors area, click Add
    3. In the New Color dialog box, in the Color name box, type the color name, and click Add.

      The name in the user library must exactly match the name of the color in the input file in order for Kodak Proofing Software to use the recipe definition.

d. In the Alternate Color box, define the colors in the recipe.

To define each color, use the slide bars or type a value.

e. Click Apply.

The color recipe is saved, and a color swatch appears beside the color name in the Colors list.

4. Add as many colors as needed to the user library.
