If your entitlement to a Kodak Proofing Software license is available in the Product Registration and License Activation System (PLAS), but you had not previously used the dongle with Kodak Proofing Software, you can access the Web site to register the product and generate a license.
Requirements:
- The dongle ID to which the product will be registered
- Entitlement information available in PLAS
- A computer with Internet access
- Log on to Partner Place at https://kodak.com/, and select Service & Support> Product Registration and License Activation.
- Select Register products.
Note: If you do not have a user account or if your email address is not recognized, a registration form appears. When finished setting up your account, click Continue, and perform the remaining steps.
- Enter the dongle ID in the following boxes:
- Product serial number
- Dongle ID or computer ID
The product or list of products that you may register to this dongle ID appears.
- Select the product and version, and click Continue to display the license information.
Note: If the product is not listed, processing of the entitlement information might not be complete—cancel this session, and either try again later or contact a sales or support representative.
- When the license key appears, click Download the license key, and save the .xmlfile to an accessible location.
Note: To avoid corrupting the license data, do not change or even open this file.
The license that you generated in PLAS remains available and can at any time be manually downloaded, manually loaded in Proofer Administrator, or automatically loaded via Get License.
- If you also need a text version of the license key, copy and paste the displayed license text into a .txtfile, and save that file to an accessible location.
You can give the file descriptive file name of your own choosing.
