Edition licenses provide implementation-specific features and feature options in Kodak Proofing Software for Matchprint Inkjet proofers.

NoteInstalling a software upgrade automatically licenses the previously licensed edition.

Edition types

Commercial edition

In addition to the basic feature set, supports two active Matchprint Inkjet proofers, can optionally support up to four proofers, and includes the Kodak Certified Process for Color Confirmation. This edition is suitable for commercial, publication, and newspaper implementations.

Packaging edition

Includes the same features as the Commercial edition, with additional features for the production of proofs for flexographic printing, such as halftone emulation.

Viewing the currently licensed edition type

For Proofer Finder:

  1. Select your proofer.
  2. From the Controller or Proofer menu, select Information.
    The Info window displays the licensed edition for the Proofer Controller.
    Note: It may take some time for Proofer Finder to communicate with Proofer Controller and learn which edition is licensed. While Proofer Finder learns which edition is licensed, it displays the Basic Edition in the Info window. You may need to display the Info window twice to see the correct name of the licensed edition.

For Proofer Viewer, Controller Viewer, and Proofer Administrator:

  • From the Help menu, select About. The About window displays the edition for the Proofer Controller.
