Removes the selected license key from the system.

Demo Mode

Enables the Proofer Controller to run in unlicensed demonstration mode; available only for unlicensed controllers without a dongle.

Demo mode lets you set up and use Kodak Proofing Software to learn about its features. You can add a proofer to the Proofer Controller, calibrate the proofer, process files, and print proofs (watermarked).

You can optionally add a simulated proofer that appears like a real proofer in Kodak Proofing Software and lets you use all of the same features. However, the software only simulates the printing of a proof and then sends the proof to the trash.

Dongle ID

Opens a dialog box that displays the dongle identification number. Give this number the service representative when ordering a new license.

Advanced

Opens a dialog box that lists all available features activated by the dongle that is currently plugged in.

Export

Opens a dialog box that lets you export the license key to a file.

Get License

Uses PLAS (Product Registration and License Activation System) to add a license key that controls which features are available in Kodak Proofing Software.

When the Proofer Controller is connected to the Internet, PLAS can retrieve a new license key and add it to the Proofer Controller. Alternately, you can manually access the PLAS Web site or contact a service representative to obtain a license key, and use the Get License button to manually load the license key from a file.

Expiry Date

Shows the date the license terminates, after which the features included in this license key are no longer available. Most purchased licenses never expire. Contact your service representative to purchase a license.

A license with an expiry date usually indicates an evaluation license.

Part Number

Each license key has a unique part number.

Part Description

Describes the feature set the license key activates.

Instances

Describes the feature set the license key activates. A license key enables and disables various aspects of the software.

The Instances column uses a number to indicate whether an item is enabled. Number 1 indicates the aspect of the software is turned on. A number 2 or greater number indicates how many instances of the software aspect are supported.
