Note: This feature is available for hot folders and the Open Connectivity Kit.

Halftone input files, such as 1-bit TIFF and DCS files, are already screened. You can set up hot folders to receive these file formats, but the hot folder setup restricts the type of screened files that you can submit to it. For example, separate hot folders are required for each of the following input file types:

  • 1-bit TIFF files with complete master files
  • 1-bit TIFF files without or with incomplete master files
  • Screened DCS 1 and DCS-2 single-file and multi-file formats

Note: You can submit unscreened DCS 1 and DCS-2 single-file and multi-file formats to a regular hot folder. Screened DCS files require a special hot folder.

  • LEN files from EskoArtworks Nexus and FlexRIP systems must be submitted to the hot folder’s input_Len subfolder.
  • Proofing capabilities may be limited for VPS proofs that gang multiple color separations.

The color gradation and halftone emulation features do not support screened input files.
