Creating a data backup

Export a restorable backup file that contains a proofer controller’s settings and data.

1. Launch the Kodak Proofer Administrator.
   The password is prooferAdmin.
   
   
   
2. In Proofer Administrator, select the Backup tab.
   
   
   
3. To create the System Backup, click Backup.
   
   
   
4. When a message advises that this process will restart the controller software, click OK to confirm and wait while the files are collected.
5. Select a secure network location for the backup ZIP file, edit the default name if desired, and click Save.
   The Proofer Administrator window automatically switches to the Controller view.
6. When a message indicates successful completion, click OK.
7. Wait until an audible notification indicates that the Controller software has restarted and is ready for operations.
8. On the Software tab, the Status column of the Controller row automatically changes from Stopped to Running.
