Over time, you may want to update the target L*a*b* values for your color bars. For example, you may want to average the L*a*b* measurements of the color bar over time, and then add the averaged data to the Color Targets tab for the color bar. Average target values for color bars created using the Snapshot Color Values on Next Reading check box on the Settings tab. Do not change target values for industry-standard color bars, such as Fogra or IDEAlliance.
- In Adobe Acrobat, locate and display the color confirmation report.
- In the report, scroll to the Data Table.
- In the Data Table, use the text selection tool to highlight the Target L* a* b* columns and L* a* b* columns.
- Copy the data, and paste it into a spreadsheet.
- Delete the Target L* a* b* columns. You only need the L* a* b* columns.
- Calculate averages for the data in the L* a* b* columns.
- In Proofer Administrator, edit the color bar to replace the numbers in the L, a, b columns on the Color Targets tab with the averaged numbers from your spreadsheet, and save the color bar.
You can copy and paste the numbers.
