Importing color content from downloaded ZIP files

Use this method if a ZIP file that contains the color content for the applicable printer model, paper type, U or UV type, and resolution is available. (See Partner Place Answer ID 68827.)

Note: You can also use this procedure for color content that you created yourself via the Media Configuration wizard or for color content files that you exported from one proofer controller and want to add at another system. 

Most content is signed for use in a Certified Process for Color Confirmation (CPCC) workflow. Signed content requires that you install the files according to the following sequence.

1. Locate and download the desired .ZIP file.
2. Decompress the downloaded file to a folder on your desktop.
   The decompressed folder contains two or three sub-folders:
   • ICCProfiles
   • MediaConfigurations
   • UserMarks (if applicable)
3. Install the media configuration.
   1. In Proofer Finder, double-click the proofer to open Proofer Viewer.
   2. Select Configure > Media Configuration.
   3. Select Import.
   4. Locate the MediaConfigurations folder and select a media configuration for the applicable proofer.
   5. Repeat for all media configurations needed.
4. Install profiles as needed:
   1. On the ICC Profiles tab of Proofer Administrator, click Import.
   2. Locate and select the desired file in the ICCProfiles folder, and click Import.
   3. Repeat for all profiles needed.
5. Install color bars (if applicable):
   1. On the Color Bars tab of Proofer Administrator, click Import.
   2. Locate and select the desired file in the UserMarks folder, and click Import.
   3. Repeat for all color bars needed.
