You can import ICC device or ICC DeviceLink profiles (.icc) and profile resource files (.profile). For example, you can import proofer profiles to be used for media configurations or source profiles to be used for color bar targets.

Notes:

  • A resource .profile file is created when you export a profile.
  • The import process lets you overwrite unsigned profiles with unsigned profiles of the same name, but the process will not let you overwrite signed profiles with unsigned profiles of the same name.
  • The file name can contain up to 100 characters. Do not use the + - \ / | < > [ ] { } ? . , ! @ # $ % ^ & * ( ) = : ; ' " characters in file names.
  1. In Proofer Administrator, click the Proofericon, and click the ICC Profiles
  2. Click Import.
  3. Locate and select the profile that you want to import.

If you want to import more than one profile, select all the profiles that you want to import.

Note: If a selected file is not a valid ICC profile, the message, Failed to import <filename> appears.

4. Click Open.

The profiles are copied from the network folder to the proofer controller, and the names appear in the list on the ICC Profiles tab.
