Column headings

Note: You can sort the columns on the ICC Profiles tab. Click the column name to sort its contents.

Name

Displays the file name of the profile.

Origin

Identifies Kodak or Custom. Profiles created by Kodak or by Kodak Proofing Software have an origin of Kodak. Profiles created by you have an origin of Custom. When you change or edit a Kodak profile, its origin changes to Custom.

Enabled

Identifies whether the profile is enabled or disabled. Only enabled profiles can be used to process jobs.

Buttons

Enable

Enabled profiles appear in profile lists in Kodak Proofing Software. For example, enabled profiles appear in lists on the ICC Settings tab in Proofer Viewer.

Disable

Disabled profiles do not appear in profile lists in Kodak Proofing Software. For example, disabled profiles do not appear in lists on the ICC Settings tab in Proofer Viewer.

Note: Disabled profiles are not automatically copied to workflow software (for example, Prinergy), if the automatic-copy feature is enabled.

Delete

Deletes the selected ICC profile.

Note: Some profiles cannot be deleted because they are designated as permanent andrequired by the system.

Sign

Displays the Sign Profile dialog box to let you sign custom profiles and assign a category to a profile. You can also re-sign and un-sign profiles.

The Sign button is only available for custom profiles. On the ICC Profiles tab, custom profiles have an Origin of Custom.

Export

Exports the selected profile. You can choose how much information to include with the profile when you export it.

Import

Lets you import ICC profiles and ICC DeviceLink profiles. Imported profiles are enabled by default.

When you import a profile, Proofer Administrator lets you overwrite unsigned profiles. For example, an unsigned profile exists on the ICC Profiles tab in Proofer Administrator. You import a profile with the same file name. When you import the profile, it overwrites the existing unsigned profile in Proofer Administrator.

However, Proofer Administrator protects signed profiles. For example, a signed profile exists on the ICC Profiles tab in Proofer Administrator. You import a profile with the same file name. When you import the profile, the import process fails. You must change the profile file name before you import the profile into Proofer Administrator.

Note: When you change a file name of a signed profile, the signature breaks, and you must submit the profile to Kodak for signing again before you import it.

New

Lets you create a simulation DeviceLink profile for process colors based on a Kodak media configuration. You must use Kodak media configuration files; you cannot use custom media configuration files. The DeviceLink profile does not support spot colors or extended process-color sets, such as CMYKOG.
