The Export Profile dialog box lets you choose how much information you want to export with the profile.

As profile without description

Exports the selected profile as is, and without its usage description. The export procedure produces the profile file.

If the profile is signed, the exported profile remains signed. If the profile is not signed, the exported profile remains unsigned. You can import the profile into the ICC Profiles tab in Proofer Administrator, or you can copy the profile to workflow software, such as Prinergy.

As unsigned profile

Unsigns and exports the selected profile. The export procedure produces the profile file. It's recommended that you change the file name when you export the profile to create a unique file name.

You can import the unsigned profile into the ICC Profiles tab in Proofer Administrator, or you can copy the unsigned profile to workflow software, such as Prinergy. You cannot use unsigned profiles with the Certified Process for Color Confirmation.

As profile with description (only usable by Kodak Proofing Software)

Exports the selected profile and its usage description. The export procedure produces a resource file with a .profile extension.

This option does not change the profile signature, if the profile is signed. You can import the resource file into the ICC Profiles tab in Proofer Administrator.

Note: This option is unavailable when a profile lacks a usage description.
