These are the mechanical specifications for the Epson Stylus Pro x900 with inline spectrophotometer for color bar artwork.
The following graphic provides an example color bar, and identifies the different sections:
- A = leading white space of 41 mm (1.61 in.)
- B and C = size of one patch width and includes the gray bar and white space
- D = trailing white space of 15.7 mm (0.62 in.)
- Minimum patch size in the scan direction: 7 mm (0.28 in.)
- Maximum patch size in the scan direction: 13 mm (0.51 in.)
- Recommended patch width: 7 mm (0.28 in.)
- Minimum patch height in the perpendicular-to-scan direction: 7 mm (0.28 in.)
- Maximum patch height in the perpendicular-to-scan direction: 20 mm (0.79 in.)
- Recommended patch height: 13 mm (0.51 in.)
- Leading white space (from the edge of the image to the leading gray bar): 41 mm (1.61 in.)
- Trailing white space (from the edge of the trailing gray bar to the end of the image):15.7 mm (0.62 in.)
- Leading gray and white patch is the same size as other color patches in color bar. It consists of two components:
- 1 mm (0.04 in.) gray bar (50 percent CMY)
- White space to fill the remainder of the patch width
For example, if the leading patch is 7 mm (0.28 in.) wide, the gray bar is 1 mm (0.04 in.) and the remaining white space is 6 mm (0.24 in.) wide.
- Trailing gray and white patch is the same size as other color patches in color bar. It consists of two components:
- 3 mm (0.12 in.) gray bar (50 percent CMY)
- White space to fill the remainder of the patch width
For example, if the trailing patch is 7 mm (0.28 in.) wide, the gray bar is 3 mm (0.12 in.) and the remaining white space is 4 mm (0.16 in.) wide.
- Maximum color bar width in the scan direction (from start of the leading gray patch to end of the trailing gray patch): 419.1 mm (16.5 in.)
- The inline spectrophotometer has no requirements for the color of adjacent patches. For example, adjacent colors need not have high contrast, and no separators are required.
