Profile-making software, such as Kodak ColorFlow Pro Edition, is required to edit profiles. When you edit a signed profile, the signature breaks, and you must submit the profile to Kodak for signing again.

Note: When you use Kodak Proofing Software to create a DeviceLink, and the profile simulates the highlight dot adjustment techniques that flexographic printers use on plate or press, ensure that you don't change the highlight dot adjustment information in the DeviceLink when you edit it.

For example, when you edit the DeviceLink, do not change the source information (the A-to-B table that transforms CMYK to L*a*b*). However, you can change the destination information (the B-to-A table that transforms L*a*b* to CMYK).

  1. Export the profile.
  2. Use profile-making software to edit the profile.
  3. Import the profile.
  4. If you use a certified process, sign the profile.
