Each layout that is enabled for Certified Process for Color Confirmation must specify a  spectrophotometer type, compatible color bar, and positioning of mandatory marks.

Requirements

A color bar created in Proofer Administrator for the spectrophotometer type that will be used to measure the color bar

  1. In Proofer Viewer, from the Configure menu, select Layouts.
  2. Click New.
  3. Select the Certified Process for Color Confirmation check box.
This automatically forces the Use color bar and Caption check boxes to be selected.
  4. In the Measuring spectrophotometer list, select the spectrophotometer and filter that you will use to measure the color bar.
UV-filtered spectrophotometers have UV in their names, and unfiltered spectrophotometers have no filter information in their names. For example, Eye-One UV and Eye-One
  5. Select the desired Print label with option:
    • Proofer to let the proofer automatically print the Certified Process for Color Confirmation label directly on the proof (requires an inline spectrophotometer that can print labels)
    • Dymo LabelWriter to use the label printer for all other cases
  6. In the Color Bar list, select a color bar.
Only color bars created for the selected spectrophotometer appear in the list.
  7. To select the details to print in the caption, click Options.
  8. Click Positions to specify the desired mark positions, including the Caption, Color Bar, and certified process Label.
  9. Set the other options as desired.
  10. Click Save.
  11. Specify a meaningful name for the layout, and click OK.
    For example, the name might include abbreviations for the layout type (such as scatter), spectrophotometer type (such as i1), filter or measurement condition (such as U or M0), and color bar. Do not use these characters in file names:  + - \ / | < > [ ] { } ? . , ! @ # $ % ^ & * ( ) = : ; ' "
  • No labels
