Requirements:
- The proofer and a supported spectrophotometer must be set up, connected, and working properly.
- Load the media on the proofer.
Note the type of media. Much of the setup revolves around setting up the software specifically for the loaded media. - In Proofer Viewer, set the media type.
- If applicable, use the printer front panel to align the inline spectrophotometer.
- Obtain or create color content as needed for the proofer and media type—this includes the media configuration, ICC profiles, and (if using a certified process) color bars.
- Use the spectrophotometer, Proofer Viewer, and media configuration to calibrate the proofer for the media.
Note: The Certified Process for Color Confirmation requires a current calibration for the proofer and media configuration. Calibrations expire after seven days. Otherwise, calibration is optional but recommended.
