The Proofer Client software can be installed on workstations running either the Windows or Mac OS X operating system software. (Client workstations are the customer's responsibility.)
Although the proofing software might function adequately on other computer configurations, the following specifications (or better) are suggested for optimal performance.
Note: These suggestions do not take into account the possible presence of any other software.
Installing KPS client software
The KPS server software is installed on the KPS controller and the KPS client software can be installed on one or more Mac or Windows workstations.
- Connect to the KPS controller by mounting a volume (Mac) or mapping a drive (Windows).
- Locate the shared ProofClient folder on the KPS controller.
- Run the appropriate KPS software installer for your computer's operating system. Perform one of the following actions:
- For macOS, open the macOS folder, double-click the setup file.
- For Windows, open the Windows folder, double-click the setup.exe file.
- Follow the installation prompts.
