You can customize tint definitions for individual colors in a spot color library.
- Create or edit a spot tint library.
- In the Spot Tint Library dialog box, click Customize.
- In the list, select the spot color for which you want to customize tint values.
Tip: Type all or part of the color name in the Search box to help find colors in the list.
The color that you want to customize is highlighted. To | Do this |

Allow the software to calculate tints for the spot color. Use this option when you lack target values. | Select the Calculated Spot Tint Color check box, and complete the available options. |
Enter L*a*b* target values for the spot color, such as spectrophotometer measurements of the spot tint printed on the target device, such as a press. Use this option when you have target values. |
- Select the Target Spot Tint Color check box.
- Click Add.
- In the % box, type the tint value.
- In the L* a* b* boxes, type the target values, and click OK.
Perform one of the following actions:
