If you decide that a page is ready for creation of a hard-copy proof or for final printing, set the page's review status to Reviewed - OK. Set the page's review status to Reviewed - Not OK if there are problems with the page.

Requirements: Make sure that review workflow settings enable you to review the page (For example, in the Customer Administration page, the selected options are Always allow or Allow with warning. If the selected option is Only on request, make sure that you were requested to review the specific page.)

  • If you have a job role that includes the appropriate review workflow settings (not the Give Final Approval user right), the following Smart Review approval icons, , indicate your Reviewer status. As a reviewer, you can only review a page.
  • If you have a job role that includes the Give Final Approval user right and the appropriate approval workflow settings, the following Smart Review approval icons, , indicate your Approver status. As an Approver, you can review or give final approval, reject, or request correction on a page.
  1. If you are satisfied with the page, when the page opens in Smart Review, click Approve . The button is available only if the page status is Approval Requested.
    The Review - OK box, , appears.
  2. In the comments box, type a comment if desired. The comment will appear in the e-mail notification for your page review.
  3. If the page is color-managed and you have been asked to review the page for color accuracy, click Approve . If you are satisfied with the page's color, select Review - OK and in the box that appears, , select Approve Color.
  4. Click Apply.
  5. If there are problems with a page, click Reject . The button is available only if the page status is Approval Requested
    The Review - Not OK box, , appears.
  6. In the comments box, type a comment if desired. The comment will appear in the e-mail notification for your page review.
  7. If the page is color-managed and you have been asked to review the page for color accuracy, click Reject . If you are not satisfied with the page's color, select Review - Not OK and in the box that appears, , select Reject Color.
  8. Click Apply.

The page's review status changes and the server sends a CSR e-mail notification.
