This guide describes how to upgrade the Kodak InSite Prepress Portal Enterprise software to version 11.0 or later.
The Prepress Portal Enterprise 11.5 upgrade is available for systems running Prepress Portal 11.0 Enterprise on Windows 2019 or Windows 2022. Customers that use earlier versions of Prepress Portal Enterprise must upgrade to InSite 11.0 InSite Prepress Portal Enterprise and be running on Microsoft Windows 2019 or Windows 2022 before upgrading to version 11.0.
Prepress Portal 11.0 satellite servers require Kodak Prinergy Workflow or Prinergy Workflow Packaging Automation Expansion Pack 11.0 and later.
Important:
If your system is not using the Prepress Portal 11.0 software, do not attempt this upgrade and contact your local Response Center representative for assistance.
Your Enterprise system cannot be in a mixed environment. Before you begin the overall upgrade of your Enterprise system to version 11.5, all servers must be running Prepress Portal 11.0.
If the installed Prinergy version used with InSite satellite servers is not 11.0 or later, upgrade the Prinergy servers before upgrading Prepress Portal Enterprise to version 11.5.

The upgrade of the Prepress Portal Enterprise system includes multiple steps. The satellite servers (IPP and PGY) must be upgraded first, and on the same day. They must remain off until the Main Enterprise server(and any Standby server if it exists) has been upgraded.
Note: It is imperative that the steps in this guide are carried out in the exact order as they appear.

Time required
Allow sufficient time for the upgrade process.
The general installation of version 11.0 will take approximately 30-60 minutes per satellite server but each of those upgrades can be performed simultaneously. As for the Enterprise server and Standby server (if applicable), you need to allow up to 4 hours to complete the upgrade.
Important: Schedule downtime to encompass upgrade of all Satellite servers and Enterprise server and Standby server if it exists. During this time, there should be no access via the main Enterprise URL or by Satellite (Open Topology) URL.
