A quota can be defined by limiting the number of elements that users can upload to a specific customer's projects and libraries in a calendar month and by limiting the maximum size of all the uploaded files for a specific customer at any given time.

Your administrator can establish a quota for your customer that limits the number of elements or the size of all the files that can be uploaded to your customer's projects and libraries.

If a user tries to upload elements to one of the customer's projects or libraries after the current month's upload quota has been reached, or the maximum disk space allocation has been maximized, a message appears, warning that the upload will exceed the quota. The user is unable to proceed with the upload.

Upload counts are automatically reset at 12:01 a.m. on the first day of each month. Unused uploads do not carry over to the next month.

The upload count is based on the number of elements uploaded, not on the number of uploads performed. For example, if five elements are uploaded at the same time, the upload count is incremented by five. Uploading a new revision of an existing element counts toward the upload quota. Any element that is uploaded to a project or library counts toward the upload quota, regardless of whether the element can be viewed in Smart Review.
