It is a best practice to embed all your fonts during output from your desktop application, for example, QuarkXPress.
If the fonts are not embedded in the source file, it is a best practice to convert the fonts to PostScript Font ASCII (PFA) format, using any font converter that provides good PFA format. Place all the fonts in one global font directory on the Prinergy Evo server computer. In your refine to PDF process templates, make sure all font search paths point to the one global location.
See the Prinergy Evo Client online help to find out how to set OPI and font search paths in refine to PDF process templates, and for information on third-party desktop publishing application best practices.
If you are not licensed to use the Prinergy Evo refine to PDF workflow, make sure that any PDF files you receive were created with the fonts embedded, or were created as PDF/X-1a:2001 or PDF/X-3:2002.
