  1. Creating a virtual printer in Prinergy Evo.
  2. On your Macintosh workstation, open the Print & Fax utility.
  3. In the Printer List dialog box, double-click Add.
  4. In the Printer area, in the top box, select IP Printing.
  5. In the Printer Address box, type the Prinergy Evo server computer IP address.
  6. In the Queue Name box, type the LPD IP queue name. It must be an exact match to the name you created in the Virtual Printer dialog box.
  7. In the Printer Using box, select the Prinergy Refiner PPD you installed with the Prinergy Evo Client. Default location: <volume>\Library\Printers\PPDs\Contents\Resources\<language>. lproj.
  8. Click Add to add the LPD IP virtual printer to the computer.
  9. From your desktop publishing application (for example, QuarkXPress), print to the Prinergy Evo LPD IP virtual printer.

The LPD IP virtual printer sends the input file to Prinergy Evo software where it is processed according to the instructions in the attached process template.
Prinergy Evo software saves the final file in the location specified in the process template.
