Need a new section to this topic:
Networking Settings
For reliable client connectivity:
A single enabled Network Interface Card (NIC), with all other NICs disabled (including Ethernet, Wi-Fi, or any other connection type).
Assign a static IP address to the enabled NIC.
Windows Firewall settings:
Windows Firewall is complex and settings will generally vary highly between sites.
During troubleshooting, a Kodak service team member may ask for the Windows Firewall to be disabled.
If the source of an issue is determined to be caused by Windows Firewall being enabled, Kodak will recommend that your System Administrator disable Windows Firewall. Any further troubleshooting of Windows Firewall will be the sole responsibility of your System Administrator.
There are two options for configuring Windows Firewall for the Prinergy Evo Workflow server software:
Disable Windows Firewall – this is the simplest to configure, but may not be desired by your System Administrator, since Microsoft generally recommends the firewall be enabled. Disabling Windows Firewall is the simplest option to ensure the successful operation of all components and collateral network connections utilized when interacting with the Prinergy Evo Server software from a client workstation.
If you wish to have Windows Firewall enabled, you must create the following rules to allow Evo client software running on workstations other than the local platform to communicate with the Evo sever software. Note: using the settings below may not provide full functionality for interacting with the network required at the site, these settings are provided for allowing communication between Evo and the client software. Enabling additional required ports for other operations is the responsibility of your System Administrator.
On Evo Server, these rules must be enabled:
