Important note about DeviceLinks
An issue has been found with ColorFlow client versions 9.5.0, 9.5.1 and 9.5.2, where DeviceLinks generated with Perceptual rendering intent may exhibit color errors.
Kodak recommends that you regenerate any such DeviceLinks that could cause potential color errors on press.
To regenerate DeviceLinks:
- Click the Conversion link of a color input or SCO, or the Simulation link of a PCO, containing the DeviceLink
- For color input and SCO conversions, perform the steps below for each Input Version or Output Version selection
- Click History… and make a note of DeviceLink adjustments that you may wish to re-apply
- Click Redefine… to open the conversion or simulation definition dialog
- If the DeviceLink Method is None, Imported, or Profile Pair Linking, stop! – there is no need to regenerate the DeviceLink
- If the Rendering Intent selection is not Perceptual, stop! – there is no need to regenerate the DeviceLink
- Click Details… and:
- For a color input, select Image Conversion DeviceLink and Graphic Conversion DeviceLink (if active), OK
- For a PCO, select Process Ink Simulation and Simulation DeviceLink Only, OK
- For an SCO, select Process Ink Conversion and Conversion DeviceLink Only, OK
- To re-apply adjustments to regenerated DeviceLinks:
- Click the conversion or simulation link again
- Select the input or output version, if applicable
- Perform DeviceLink adjustments, OK
