If you want brightener effects of ultra-violet when measuring a chart, you can change the measurement preferences.

Note: When generating a Verification report, make sure you use the same settings you used when measuring the chart. Otherwise, the comparison isn't valid.

  1. Click File > Preference.
  2. Click the Measurement tab.
  3. Select the desired Measurement Condition. Measurement Condition is used for measuring color patches:
    • Device default:
    • ISO M0: Legacy unfiltered: For any use where neither substrate nor imaging colorants fluoresce
    • ISO M1:CIE D50 (Daylight): For use when either substrate or imaging colorants, or both may fluoresce
    • ISO M2: UV Cut plus OBC: For use when the paper fluoresces, but there is a desire to eliminate this effect from affecting the data
  4. Select the desired Density Standard. Density Standard is used for measuring density for graphic arts. It is regional preferred:
    • ISO Status T, ANSI T:  Wide band color reflection densitometer response standard. It's accepted in North America for color reflection densitometers
    • ISO Status E, DIN: A densitometer response standard. It'a accepted standard in Europe for color reflection densitometers
    • ISO Status I / SPI, DIN NB: A densitometer response commonly referred to as narrow band or interference-type response
  5. Select the desired Default Length Unit.
  6. Click OK.
