Most of ColorFlow's color control elements control color reproduction of process inks on printing devices. Process inks, typically CMYK, are inks that are overprinted in various combinations on the output device to achieve the desired color. Spot inks are specially mixed inks that are printed by output devices in addition to process inks. In ColorFlow, spot ink response is managed by curve channels in a print transfer curve or a curve-controlled device condition. A Default spot ink curve channel provides curves for undeclared spot inks. You can add specific spot inks, whose tonal response you wish to control individually, to a device condition or a print transfer curve. For each added spot ink, you can use the same curve channel as a process ink, or you can select Custom curve to uniquely control the spot ink's tonality.
