If the device curve's Mindot Tint In value of a flexo device is non-zero, ColorFlow software models the device response with a discontinuous color response. The Mindot response of a given process or spot ink is equal to the color printed by the Mindot Tint Out value of the device curve in effect when the device is characterized.
ColorFlow software uses the discontinuous response of a non-promoted device to generate its device curves, as described next. The discontinuity is also reflected in the Device Tonality graph.
