Generating a Print Comparison report

You can create a Print Comparison report in PDF format to see the difference between a device and a target.

1. In a device condition in the color setup viewer, next to the device name, click the Measurements icon .
2. Click the Measurements tab.
3. In the Active Measurement area, select a measurement set or an individual sheet.
   To select multiple sheets, use Ctrl+click.
4. Click Report.
5. Do the following:
   • If you want to hide the explanatory text in the report, clear the Include explanatory text check box
   • In the Customer box, enter the report name. It will appear on the cover of the report
   • In the Subtitle box, enter additional information about the report. It will appear on the front cover and the footer of every page
   • In the Inks box, enter the ink product name or type used to print the chart
   • In the Notes box, enter the note if required
6. From the Process Ink Sequence list, select the ink sequence in the press when the chart was printed. Process ink sequence affects computation of Apparent Traps.
7. Select the Compare to check box.
8. Perform one of the following actions:
   • To compare to another device, select Other Device, and select the device in the list
   • To compare to a device condition or industry specification, select Device Condition and select the device condition or industry specification in the list
9. From the Color Difference Metric list, select a desired value.
   Color Difference Metric is used to compute the difference between two colors. Among the selections, dE2000 gives the best visible indication of color difference. 
10. Click Save and browse to the location where you want to save the report file.
