In Prinergy Workshop, prepare an ImportAll process template and set it to use your preferred Preps profile for automated imposition.

Before you can import JDF files that contain MIS stripping information, the ImportAll process template must be correctly defined in Prinergy Workshop and set to use a suitable Preps profile.
Note: For general information about working with process templates, see the Prinergy Workshop user documentation.

  1. If it does not already exist, create the ImportAll process template.
For instructions, see the Prinergy Workshop user documentation.
  2. To ensure that Business Link can find the correct process, be sure to name it exactly ImportAll and to create it inside the \Import\Import group.
Important: If the process template is not in the expected location in Prinergy, the process fails.
  3. In the ImportAll process template, expand the Import Layout pane, and select the desired profile.
Select a provided sample profile or a profile that you created based on one of those profiles, depending on your automated imposition workflow.
  4. In the Device list, select the Press Sheet Size device, which allows the actual device and media size to be selected by the Preps template.
Note: Unless you always work with the same device and plate size for all impositions, it is a good idea to assign the Press Sheet Size device as the target device when setting up your Preps signatures and templates. For more information, see the Preps user documentation.
  5. Under Output Signatures, select All.
  6. Save and close the process template.

You can edit the ImportAll process template whenever you need it to point to a different Preps profile.
