In Business Link, customer mapping associates an InSite Prepress Portal customer name with an MIS customer name. If your system uses InSite, you require this feature:

  • If your MIS creates jobs for customers who want Web access for their associates via InSite
  • If jobs can be directly created via InSite Prinergy integration, in which case Business Link must send the correct, associated customer ID to the MIS in each NewJDF command

You do not map customers if your operations do not use InSite or if you use only the reporting aspect of Business Link, with no MIS connectivity.

When you define a prepress connector in the Administration Client for a Prinergy system that is integrated with Prepress Portal, the Business Link list of InSite prepress customer names is automatically filled. For more information about Prepress Portal integration with Prinergy, see the Prinergy Workshop user documentation. Kodak JDF Web-enabling extensions take precedence over current settings in the Administration Client.
