Template jobs are automatically assigned to jobs in Prinergy based on the following precedence rules.

  1. Prinergy's first choice is the JDF-specified template job:
A template job that is specified in a JDF new-job request is the primary template job and supersedes any template job that is specified in the Administration Client.
  2. Second choice is the customer template job:
If no template job is specified in a JDF new-job request, then Prinergy uses the template job that is associated with the customer on the Customer Mapping tab.
  3. Third choice is the Business Link default template job:
If no template job is assigned in either the JDF new-job request or on the Customer Mapping tab, then Prinergy uses the default template job that is specified on the Configuration tab.
  4. Last choice is no template job at all:
If a specified template job does not exist or if no template job is specified in the JDF new-job request or on the Administration Client tabs, then the job is created, but no template job is applied.

For more information about template jobs, see the Prinergy Workshop documentation.
