Prepress job information is stored only for processes that take place within the Prinergy workflow. To avoid partial tracking of materials, information is tracked only for jobs that are created after the Business Link software is installed and activated.
To track the following types of data, you will require different tools:
- Data from any other software that you use in the prepress workflow
- Prepress operator time
Processes
In addition to the time and date of the job creation, the following processes are also tracked:
- Import, export
- Refine
- Loose page proof
- Imposed proof
- Final output
- Archive, purge, retrieval
Data
For each process that is tracked, the following data is collected:
- The operator who started the process
- Start time and duration of the process
- Elements that were involved. For example, which job and which signature/side/separation or page was selected
- Process template used, and materials and devices that are attached to it
- The work type that the operator assigned to the process
Status
The status of all elements of a job is tracked, including:
- Page status, including InSite page status
- Page assignment status. For example, assigned to position x on surface y
- Signature approvals
